Jun Whang is a lawyer with over three decades experience as a Partner at New York City law firms, representing major US and international companies (Europe and Korea) in heavily regulated industries on product liability litigation and regulatory risk management matters. He launched and managed his prior firms’ Korea and corporate practices.He previously was partner at Greenspoon Marder and Jacob, Medinger & Finnegan, and began his legal career at Cadwalader Wickersham & Taft after receiving his LL.M. in International and Comparative Law from Georgetown University Law Center and J.D. from Cornell Law School. Jun received his B.A. from Dartmouth College.Jun is a longtime Taekwondo Master Instructor and Coach; he co-founded West Side Taekwondo in New York City; he has trained and coached several U.S. National Team members and served has Head Coach for the Trinidad and Tobago Taekwondo Team for several World Championships, Olympic qualification events, numerous world class international competitions, and as Head Coach for the Athens 2004 Olympics. In his leadership role in the community, Jun was a Founding Board Member of the Korean American Community Foundation (2002-2015), and he has been involved with the Korean American Lawyers Association of Greater New York and the International Association of Korean Lawyers.Jun has both lived and worked extensively throughout the world, and is proficient in Korean and Spanish.
