Managed the Immune Science lab staffed with PhD scientists and MS/BS associates for immune system monitoring with flow cytometry assays and immune assays.

Apply dynamic leadership skills in supervising the flow core lab, comprised of PhD scientists and MS/BS associates. Execute superior management skills in directing the lab personnel; collaborate closely with clients on new study design and ongoing studies. Perform diverse tasks such as writing study proposals, supervising the ongoing sample processing, reviewing and sign off the flow data, writing and presenting study reports to clients, leading the new assay development, and improving lab to GCLP standard. Lead the development and execution of procedures for testing new lot of Ab cocktails against the old ones. Secure compatibility of data generated from different instruments. Demonstrate proficiency in conducting flow cytometry assays on frozen PBMC collected from Kidney transplant patients. Proficiently handle the flow cytometry data analysis using different flow data analysis software, such as CXP, Diva, and FlowJo.

Served as lead project manager in charge for conducting various clinical studies and directing 2–3 assistant and associate scientists. Supervised and effectively facilitated training for assistants in sample processing; thoroughly evaluated data derived from clinical studies using in-house statistical software. Maintained constant communication with clients through creation and presentation of study reports to clients. Coordinated strategic execution in managing the cytometry assay panel design that targets relevant cell surface antigens according to study diseases and drugs. Administered the assay implementation and data collection. Participated in performing data analysis and report writing in studies encompassing Asthma Allergy, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Multiple Sclerosis, Lupus, Crohn’s disease, Psoriasis, and Kidney transplantation. Successfully completed the development of an ex vivo stimulation assay protocol to identify the biological effects of client’s candidate drug (Lipoxin analog) on cell surface markers and intracellular cytokines in granulocytes and PBMC. Comprehensively researched and identified a potential biomarker for phase one clinical trial. Classified hundreds of cell surface and soluble markers and presented results in scientific meeting and published paper on PD markers.

Led the execution of protocols in processing sputum, bronchial wash, and bronchial alveoli lavage for cytometry assays utilized in asthma studies. Handled the development 32 intracellular cytokine assays for application in clinical study to assess the patient’s response to immune modulator drug in autoimmune diseases.  NOTABLE ACCOMPLISHMENTS:  Developed and created specialty assays for cytometry, processing patient’s samples for specialty assays, analyzing the cytometry data from clinical studies, and interpreting the data for biological meanings.  Proficiently handled the development and completion of training protocol to qualify the operators for clinical sample process.
