Procurement Engineer
Current Procurement Engineer o Till date, achieve zero line down incident through meticulous planning Actively sourcing and purchasing commodities regionally and globally that align with procurement specifications Commodities such as raw copper materials, dry films, chemicals and other indirect items Involve in hedging of copper materials Decide the purchase of copper materials Improve and simplify logistic flow and supply chain. Research and inquire market situation to plan purchasing, production and sales strategies Lead and run inter-departmental meetings to plan purchasing, production and sales strategies Improve cost and lead-time through negotiation Develop process and mechanism to plan and control inventories of the commodities based on customers' orders, production demands and forecast to ensure smooth manufacturing Work closely with global procurement team and leveraged on global procurement volumes to negotiate key factors such as cost, lead-time and quality to meet company’s objectives Manage and review existing and new contracts Supplier managment Rate suppliers performance quarterly to ensure they perform to the organisation standard Prepare procurement report for management review Support system enhancement Other ad-hoc projects, such as: o Coordinate the purchase of new million dollars machines from reviewing specifications, selection of suppliers and negotiation to delivery and shipment to assembly, acceptance and payment o Coordinate interplant transfer of machines from planning to execution
