About Jun Im

Hi, my name is Jun.I started my software development journey alongside my job as a high school IT/Business teacher while also running my own PC gaming arcade business. As I developed tools and services to improve business operational efficiencies for my own business, I found myself fascinating code day-by-day as I realised how powerful and creative it is in solving problems.As a teacher, I loved teaching but more so learning and chasing things I found fascinating. So I left teaching to fully commit to a professional software development journey in 2022. Since then I've been fortunate to meet and work with great developers in various places.There are a few opinions I hold regarding software development shaped from my previous life experiences. To name a couple..- Code should exist to solve problems and thereby generate business value. Therefore, a developer's primary job is to create business solutions through lines of code.- I don't find debates about whether one language or framework is 'better' than another to be interesting or productive. The majority of end users do not care what software is written in, as long as it solves problems efficiently.For those reasons, I love Laravel and its ecosystem. I would like to connect with other developers on LinkedIn to form a network of people that I can learn from and help!
