* Developed the pipeline to automated reduce astronomical images and spectra (more than 3 TB in size) from space telescopes with Perl and Unix shell scripts (10k lines).* Constructed and fitted multi-component non-linear models to X-ray spectral data.* Developed the Monte Carlo simulation code in C++ to simulate the properties of globular cluster binaries (15k lines).* Developed the algorithm of quick search for overlapping stars between two images using K-D tree, which improves the search speed by more than 100 times.* Analyzed data using statistical methods including: Chi-square test, maximum likelihood estimate, and K-S test.* Performed numerical computations including: interpolation, fitting spline curve, smoothing and filtering data, finding equation root, and finding function maximum or minimum.* Numerically solved the ordinary differential equations for the initial value problem for a star’s motion in any given potential function using the Ronge-Kutta method.* Published 3 papers and presented in 3 international and national conferences.
