Natural Language Processing Team- Worked on the optimization technique neural style transfer. Worked on creating an Android game app that allows users to select a certain object and apply style transfer to that object. - Created an android App Backend using both nodeJS and Retrofit 2.0. I built a server/client connection for the android user using these tools. - Read several research papers that talked about style transfer using masks. By using these masks, I was able to do localized style transfer on a specific object the user selects. I worked with the code these papers provided and combined it with some nodeJS code to build the full pipeline.- Also worked a bit on NLP, learning about the Bert Model from research papers and learning how to finetune it. I combined it with cosine similarity to give out a similarity score between two sentences or phrases.

- Was given the project title (NLP for Cannabis Text Data). I wrote code to scrape data from cannabis websites and organized the scraped data into clean datasets for future research use. - Also worked with Tor to anonymously scrape webpages, since some of them blocked out our ip addresses. I would also work a bit with these datasets, applying NLP techniques and ML packages (like cosine similarity) to find patterns and trends in the data.

- Helped organize data using google sheets from the GSI Conference every newly appointed graduate student Instructor needs to attend. - Was responsible for handling the on-site registration process, and post-attendance analysis. Numerous data spreadsheets were involved to verify and discern before imputing the final tally into our campus record system.- Also made a new GSI course within “bCourses” (UC Berkeley's official campus Learning Management System) for our Center’s Director. I added pertinent information to the course, and checked for successful functionality.

- Was given the opportunity to become a computer science mentor for CS70 (Discrete Mathematics and Probability). This class was a prerequisite class to apply for the computer science major.- Would mentor a group of students twice per week, going over lecture material and worksheet problems. Also create problem sets for guerrilla sections for students to further practice and study the material.
