I am currently a post-doctoral fellow at Stanford University. I work with Dr. Brian Hargreaves on body MRI. My current project is regarding better fat suppression sequences used in breast and abdominal MR imaging. I have earned my PhD degree from the Biomedical Engineering Department, Vanderbilt University. During my PhD education, I worked with my mentor Dr. William Grissom on utilizing innovative RF pulse design methods to solve artifacts in ultra-high field and to achieve fast and high resolution MRI. I have implemented several new MR imaging functionalities regarding these new pulses on Philips MR systems, both 3T and 7T. I have gained extensive experience in digital filter design and optimal control through RF pulse design.
