- Multiplication of our local supply content according to strategic targets- Extension of our local supply base by searching and evaluating sustainable andcompetitive suppliers- Adaptation and optimization of procurement processes according to internationalbest practice and SAP standards- Further development and structuring of the local procurement team- Operational excellence by setting up a comprehensive and measurableperformance controlling and reporting- Development of procurement concepts & strategies align with company’s totalbusiness direction & priorities- Driving business wide cost-awareness- & cross-functional cost reductioninitiatives- Identification, initiation and pushing of technical cost optimization processes- Supply risk assessments and initiation of adequate supplier qualification measurestogether with Quality dept.- Continuous improvements concerning material cost, supplier delivery, quality,lead-times and working capital- Initiation of lean and six sigma concepts throughout the supply base,- Implementation of corporate and Voith Paper sourcing policies and procedures- Efficient management of the overall procurement budget; monitor costs andeffectiveness spendings- Liaise with cross divisions senior management to ensure that strategies andactivities are integrated with other parts of the business and aligned with theoverall VP strategies- Negotiating complex contracts with superior results, including price, deliveryquality, lead-times and terms- Developing, attracting and retaining the highest procurement talents in thedepartment.

Responsibility for team objectivesPlanning, optimization and control of the result from materials to increase theEVA in the area of responsibility. Human Resources management:Management and promotion of employees in the area of responsibility to ensureteam success with motivated staff. Employee support:Actively supporting employees in complex and difficult procedures to ensure thesuccess of employees. Organize and execute regional and cross-regional bundling within MT of thedemands of the different groups/sites and projects for optimum utilization ofprocurement power. Development and implementation of regional commodity management and globalsourcing strategies (Local-for-Local(L4L) and Local-for-Global(L4G) to achievethe procurement and business targets (e.g. Increased global value share)following BU-SMART strategy. Analyses demands, markets and suppliers to create a basis for deciding on theoptimum sourcing strategy. Define and implement the procurement, supply and bundling strategy in order toachieve the maximum profit contribution to the corporate targets. Early integration and involvement in all procurement-related procedures andbusiness processes to be a competent partner to all internal customers for theearly integration of suppliers.
