I synthesized literature on allyship and diversity in organizations to write a review paper for management scholars and practitioners for a special issue on trust in organizations. I scraped, cleaned, and merged extensive governmental databases of county-level socioeconomic indicators to cross walk with national survey data examining workers’ quality of life. I managed multiple research projects related to diversity and equity in collaboration with four graduate students and three faculty members while participating in two interdisciplinary research labs. I led weekly discussion sections for 19-38 graduate students studying public affairs, covering topics from behavioral economics (e.g., nudges and choice architecture) and social psychology (e.g., norms), and supervised students’ final group projects on leveraging behavioral science for policy implementation.

I co-directed the Graduate Policy Fellows Program, which is an interdisciplinary program for cohorts of 12 Yale graduate students researching US domestic policy. I coordinated and facilitated bi-weekly meetings for the Policy Fellows to discuss their research, and I provided regular feedback on policy memos and opinion articles.

I collaborated with graduate students to organize events and developed assessment materials (e.g., surveys, guides) to evaluate event success. I coordinated with local vendors and university administrators to design and execute recruitment and retention programming for underrepresented graduate students (e.g., disabled students, undocumented students, and queer students of color)

I designed 30+ qualitative and experimental surveys in Qualtrics including use of Embedded Data, Loop & Merge, and Piped Text resulting in 4 academic publications and 14 presentations. I collected data and performed descriptive and multivariate analyses of data in R and SPSS (e.g., ANOVAs, regressions, correlations, t-tests, conjoint analyses, and panel data analyses). I created experimental stimuli and evidence-based research briefs for collaborative and innovative projects examining biases in hiring outcomes resulting in a co-authored Harvard Business Review article. I produced data visualizations and wrote accessible policy papers on wage inequality, presented at the Tobin Project’s Inequality and Decision-Making Program

I assisted in teaching 18 Yale graduate courses and workshops ranging in size from 8-350 students. Topics included: Power and Politics, Interpersonal Dynamics, Global Virtual Teams, Statistics and R

I advised student coordinators of ten different mentoring programs, such as the Asian American Mentoring Program, to identify workshops for their summer training sessions. I organized a search committee that was tasked with hiring the college's first designated staff member for undocumented student programming. I served as an administrative liaison for the Associate Dean of Student Mentoring and Leadership and organized meetings for student-run affinity group representatives and the college’s senior executives to address institutional shortcomings.

I worked as a research assistant for three separate social psychology research labs: Social Cognition and Interaction Lab (Pomona College), Moral Emotions and Trust Lab (Claremont McKenna College), and the Champaign Social Interaction Lab (University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign). I isolated thousands of single words from a national dialect archive and organized them into a survey to explore the minimal conditions for signaling social status in brief speech. I gathered responses from hundreds of customers about their judgments of efficacy on products and services that employ algorithms to calculate relational, commercial, and/or aesthetic preferences for users. I programmed online survey experiments to examine the interaction between awe and theism to predict changes in scientific beliefs and analyzed the results using regressions. I used online crowdsourcing methods to examine consumers’ reactions to micro-targeted advertisements delivered by companies with distinct brand personalities. I engaged in independent research on self-presentation and social class that developed into a senior thesis project.

I created community building events for 60+ undocumented students and mentored undocumented first-year students on academic and social adjustment through weekly check-ins and monthly programming, including networking events, orientation panels, and retreats. I helped plan the first Undocumented & AAPI event at the college and assisted interns at the Asian American Resource Center.

I assisted in teaching 8 Pomona undergraduate courses. Topics included: Introduction to Linguistics, Introduction to Computer Science, Introduction to Psychology, and Psychological Statistics.
