My thesis work focused on the study of catalytic activation and transformation of hard-to-activate bonds (C-H, C-C, C=C, Si-H, Si-C) using nickel complexes as well as isolation of catalytically relevant intermediates. Mechanistic insights aid in the optimization of existing catalytic systems, as well as the development of novel room-temperature catalytic reactions mediated by nickel catalysts.I am proficient in synthetic organometallic and organic chemistry under both ambient and air-and-moisture-free conditions using standard Schlenk techniques or gloveboxes. Similarly, I have solid experience with characterization methods such as NMR, UV-Vis, EPR, FT-IR, X-Ray Crystallography and MS. I have also published multiple papers in peer-reviewed journals and presented my findings at national and international conferences. Beyond my research pursuits, I've embraced the role of a graduate teaching assistant at the University of Windsor. Guiding and supervising undergraduate chemistry teaching labs, I've covered diverse subjects including general chemistry, inorganic chemistry, intermediate organic chemistry, and organometallic chemistry.I am also familiar with GMP/GLP as a result of my past working experience. I am passionate about chemistry and eager to apply my skills and knowledge to solve real-world problems and contribute to the advancement of science.
