Setting up KPI, planning the resources for the team, lead the team to manage multiple projects in parallel efficiently. Drive the collaboration across the teams to make sure of the product delivery on time and successful transfer from NPI to MP.ν During NPI phase, as the project manager to set up the plan and schedule for the product development, and drive the cross functional teams(including HW, FW and ME) to achieve the goal.ν At the beginning of the NPI phase, roughly calculate the overall cost for the whole project development phase(including MOC, NRE, manufacturing cost and one-off investment) and plan/propose the budget based on it. Review the real cost after each phase to make sure it’s not over budget. ν Regularly organize internal weekly meeting to review the project status and organize quarterly global review with US upper management team to report project status. Also will set up the meeting with cross functional teams on a random basis based on the needs to discuss the urgent issues.ν Working closely with & drive the manufacturer to make sure the build is on schedule for different configs per requirement from design team so that design team can get the samples on time for debugging activities.ν Continuously drive to improve our internal process for team’s working efficiency optimization.ν During NPI to MP, continuously working with cross functional team on product improvement and seeking for any cost-down opportunities.

 Designing the factory test fixture, lead and coordinate the vendor’s team(software/firmware, hardware and mechanical engineers) to develop the FCT(functional circuit test) fixture including the schematic & layout review, fixture debug and test report review.  Fixture project schedule control, quality & risk control, communication and resource allocation. Create manufacturing test plan based on product design per each project. coordinate resources from different teams(internal team, CM team and vendor team) to effectively resolve all the issues in the build including resource issues, progress/schedule issues and technical issues. Work with different product teams to collect the needs for power supplies on the production line, document the specification. Lead the vendor team to design the unified power module to reduce manufacturing cost.  Strictly review the quotation from vendor for each fixture, break down the cost for every single part in the fixture and work with GSM to drive the cost down activities. Interview CM and vendor team to select the suitable persons to be in the project team. Working with EMP, TDL, CM and vendor to come out a reasonable plan for fixture delivery and bringup schedule to make sure that it meets whole project’s requirement. Based on massive manufacturing data and by using Gauge R&R methods to analyze the FCT fixture to find out the potential design problems and make improvements so as to assure the consistency and accuracy of the FCT fixture.

 Design system power in storage products, including PDU, SPS, AC/DC PSU and on-board DC/DC power, design and building up power system architecture. As the team leader to lead the local team for detailed power system design of EMC storage server(AC/DC frond end PSU and on-board DC/DC), including solution selection, schematic drawing, layout review, power testing and debugging for SMPS, LDO and intel based(x86) VR11.1, VR12 and VR12.5. Work with different product teams to collect the needs from different product lines for the power supplies, lead global design team(China and US) to work with ODM vendors for product planning, detailed power design, including proposal review, vendor design review(schematic&layout), project planning, issue tracking, and supplier management Design low cost BBU module(Battery Backup Unit) for EMC system. Define and be accountable for metrics on function vs. cost, schedule, reliability, efficiency and performance for products developed. Program management for all power products in the planning and tracking of resources and schedules. Oversee the development tasks required to implement the design, interface with all other members of the project team, system development engineers, mechanical, thermal and CAD design engineers, product test and manufacturing organizations, in a global business environment. Training and leading the junior engineers, help them resolve the issues during the project development, assign the tasks and allocate the resources, do the job evaluation and pacify the emotion.
