• Perform model-based system design and analysis of advanced xEV (HEV, PHEV, BEV) platforms using MATLAB/Simulink and other simulation tools to determine optimal hybrid powerpack.➢ Develop physics-based, control-oriented plant models for electrified vehicle systems.➢ Incorporate third-party tools (Dymola, GTPower) for co-simulation with FMI➢ Improve accuracy of model by utilizing Parameter Diagram (P-Diagram) based model vs test correlation framework.➢ Lead the cascade of powerpack targets to sub-systems (engine, transmission, battery, eDrive, etc), and analysis of vehicle fuel economy and performance capabilities.➢ Apply optimization techniques and DOE studies to balance trade-offs (fuel/energy, performance, drivability, failure modes and costs) and optimize hybrid control strategies.➢ Set up software in Loop (SIL) with production control C-code incorporated in model environments.• Perform system validation via MIL/SIL/HIL.• Apply parallel computing and big data methodologies to perform analysis of real-world trip data and develop an insight for the design of future vehicles.• Create post-processing tools for analysis of simulation, vehicle and component level test data employing signal processing algorithms, data-fitting techniques.• Lead data analysis of Energy Economy Regulatory Certification tests for products launched in the US (EPA), EU(NEDC and WLTP), and China (NEDC) to prove strategy changes and regulation conformity.• Reconcile CAE methods with system engineering processes (requirement, DFMEA, 8Ds and ISO26262) for best reliability. Create Design Verification Plan & Report (DVP&R) to improve modeling and calibration integrity.
