My role involves strategic planning, acquisitions & divestitures, and new business development. In our highly complex and ever-evolving business landscape, we are not just constantly pushing our boundaries, but also taking deliberate steps to redefine them.

Marconi was founded in 2017 with the vision of transforming the fundamentals of patent licensing, bringing value to both technology practitioners and innovators. It supports a number of independent licensing platforms, including the Avanci platforms.

BBT is a multi-billion-dollar hedge fund and family office for the Bass family in Fort Worth. I was part of a team that managed an investment portfolio of up to $1.5 billion. My responsibilities were identifying and executing investment opportunities in the public equity markets, focusing on the global tech sector. I also co-managed a long/short portfolio of tech stocks. My tenure at BBT allowed me to develop deep domain knowledge in valuation and competitive analysis of companies across technology industries such as IT systems, software, semiconductors, consumer electronics, networking equipment and telecommunications.

The firm invests across the capital structure in both public and private investments. Starting with zero finance background, I climbed the learning curve quickly and enjoyed working long hours because there were constantly new areas to explore. My investment research and analysis supported credit investments and equity strategies such as long/short equity, risk arbitrage, and special situations. I also conducted due diligence for various private equity and venture capital opportunities.My quantitative skills contributed to building the firm's risk management system for public securities and derivative instruments. Experience gained during these years were worth multiple MBA degrees but I left to pursue more responsibilities and bigger opportunities.
