This Includes 18MeV cyclotron, PET/CT, Dose Calibrator etc.-Represent current institution as a licensee in local regulatory body and liaison with them on Radiation safety compliance's and related matters-Ensure proper treatment of radioactive waste including sealed radioactive sources are collected, segregated and disposed of according to regulatory guidelines and appropriate records are maintained.-Device and Implement Nuclear Medicine Plans such as Quality Assurance, Radioactive waste management, physical protection, Radiation emergency etc.-Oversees the operation of Cyclotron facility. Provide technical supports for production and quality control of Radio-pharmaceuticals with HPLC, TLC, GC and Gamma Spectrometer.-Oversees the Production and quality control of Ga-68 labelled pharmaceuticals with ITG semi-automated module and HPLC-Development of technical equipment selection specifications and evaluation of vendor proposals in support of the radiological equipment purchasing process-Involve in decision making in the development, implementation, maintenance and quality control of the infrastructure (facilities, equipment & clinical computer systems) and new processes necessary for the provision of nuclear medicine.-Carry out radiation protection audits, make appropriate recommendations and notify the regulatory body.-Conduct radiation protection training and responds to any radiation safety emergencies and prepares and submits required reports-Teaching and Research

-Perform all periodic quality Checks of gamma camera- Perform and supervise quality checks for dose calibrator like constancy, linearity, geometry and accuracy- Managing radiation measuring instruments like survey meter, dose calibrators, Passive dosimeters, Electronic personal dosimeter and their calibrations- Daily radiation survey of nuclear medicine department and managing radioactive contamination- Receiving, surveying the packages and perform leak test for sealed and unsealed radioactive sources- Provide dosimeters to staff and report the dose received by individuals- Oversees the use of radioactive materials through the management of radioactive materials licensing, radiation laboratory survey, and radioactive waste management- Keeping and updated all the radiation related records and inventory of sealed sources- Dealing with the inspectors during inspection/auditing of local regulatory body.- Keeping all records and communications

Department Of Radiation Oncology

- Participate in Periodic quality control of Linear Accelerator, CT simulator and HDR brachytherapy- Report any change in patient’s positions during the treatment- Participate in dosimetry and beam profile assessment of linear accelerator.Assist the senior medical physicist in gamma and neutron surveys-Verify the treatment plan description and ensure all patients are being delivered with the prescribed dose- Assisting in treatment planning for EBRT and HDR brachytherapy
