A young, enthusiastic writer trying to establish himself in this world. Whether it is copywriting, SEO content writing, reporting, or even fictional writing, I would like to be as complete a writer as I could possibly be. The journey well and truly began in 2021 when I landed an internship at a community radio station called Voice of the Cape. After two months, I had been offered a permanent contract. It truly felt like a dream. I learned so much during my time there and will always look back at it with fondness and appreciation. I got to learn every single aspect of media. I would produce shows; present them, report on news, record voiceovers, help the marketing team craft content with my copywriting abilities, conduct interviews, and even take on reception duties!Like all good things, however, my time there came to an end. When it did, I moved to Highbury Media – as they were known at the time – where I worked on the African Insider. I was able to implement everything I had previously learned while also trying new things. My main role was to produce written content on a digital platform, ensuring that they were SEO-friendly with catchy headlines that captivated readers. In addition to those duties, I got to edit articles and manage the outlet's social media pages. It was riveting and educational. These experiences have helped me get to where I am today: A sports reporter at KickOff, under the brand SNL24.
