Deputy Program Director - Facilities Program At Dfw Airport
CurrentJunaid is currently working as Deputy Director for Facilities Program at DFW Airport, Dallas. He is part of a leadership team managing a portfolio of up to 100 facilities projects with a total capital cost in excess of US$ 1 Billion. Junaid actively participates in the full life cycle of projects including planning, design, construction and closeout. Junaid also develops project and program management performance improvement tools for implementation on the program. Junaid’s duties as Deputy Director include:• Day to day supervision of PMs• Overseeing performance of PMs in achieving their project goals and KPIs• Undertaking regular deep dives and reviews of all projects particularly focussed on scope, schedule and budget• Work with client’s planning team in preparing capital funding requests for ongoing and new projects• Balancing assignment of PMs on ongoing and new projects• Helping PMs with internal and external stakeholder communication• Identify PM training needs and SME inputs• Providing direct oversight on large or critical capital projects• Helping PMs with design-build project delivery• Helping PMs with change order or claim negotiations with contractors• Oversee performance of design consultants• Work with controls & analytics to monitor program level KPIs and taking corrective actions• Implementing new PM tools to better manage the program outcomesJunaid also closely coordinates with the airport’s planning department in the development of business case and project development documents and providing oversight on the development of scope, schedule, budget and delivery strategy during the planning phase. Junaid regularly provides briefings to the airport’s executive leadership team on the status of various projects and program level challenges and solutions.
