Brief Introduction of ISOM Project:-The existing refinery has the Crude Distillation unit which distils the Crude Oil into Kero minus, Diesel and Fuel Oil fractions. The Kero minus fraction is hydro treated and then split into Kerosene, Heavy Naphtha and Light Naphtha in the three cut splitter. Kero is sold without any further processing, the Heavy Naphtha is sent to the Platformer unit. The middle stream from the Crude Distillation unit is Gas Oil, the bottom stream is Fuel Oil. All the above mentioned products are stored and later fed to the local market (excluding Light Naphtha) through marketing companies. Light Naphtha is the only product that has no demand in the local market and is mainly exported to Japan and India at a rate much lower than that of gasoline. In order to utilise the surplus Light Naphtha, PRL is planning to upgrade by the addition of a new Isomerization unit which will convert Light Naphtha to Isomerate, thereby increasing the octane, so that it can be blended with the Reformate to increase the overall gasoline pool and achieve country spec for MS having 87 RON. FOSTER WHEELER has been awarded a contract by Pakistan Refinery Ltd to carry out the Front End Engineering Design of a new Isomerization unit. The new unit is a UOP Licensed PENEX™ Unit. UOP have developed the Process Design Package .The scope of the FEED is to develop the design for the integration of the PENEX™ Unit into the existing refinery infrastructure.

Monitor vendor performance and make recommendations for improvement when appropriate. • Prepare and distribute reports and statistical data to facilitate planning and maintenance of accurate contract records and files.• Provide leadership for the contracts administration, compliance and database function. Organize, maintain and electronically track all contracts and related documents.• Responsible for the successful strategy, development and execution of assigned procurement programs to maximize efficiency, cost savings and reduce liability exposure. • Identify and investigate all cost of ownership opportunities including non-purchase price driven opportunities.• Ensure suppliers meet defined requirements, goals and targets. Establish supplier improvement targets in cost, quality, delivery and inventory reduction. Lead all aspects of supplier negotiations, including contract terms, pricing, price re-determinations, and performance management. Provide leadership in developing key long term supply contracts to achieve continuous improvement. Manage contracts to ensure cost, service and quality requirements are met.
