I lead multiple Agile teams that deliver features to customers with a particular focus on digital channels, namely the My Vodacom App, Web, Chatbot (Tobi), USSD and the Vodapay App. Working in close collaboration with business stakeholders, some of my responsibilities include:- Creating and communicating the Product vision, purpose, and strategy- Creating a Product Roadmap, translating this into a quarterly squad backlog and guiding the technical teams with work prioritization- Managing a team of developers, scrum masters and QA engineers ensuring successful completion of established project goals- Building out a catalog of reusable technical capabilities and platforms that will either provide opportunities to generate revenue or optimize costs- Engaging customers and stakeholders in product research and discoveryNotable achievements during my tenure include contributing towards Vodafone Digital Identity as a Service, rolling out Specific Needs functionality for our disabled customers, as well as migrating customer balances from Spring to Node.js, resulting in operational efficiencies.

After initially joining the Customer Value Management (CVM) team as a Business Analyst, I soon took on Product Owner duties and thereafter continued in the hybrid role. I continued to contribute to gathering business requirements but also performed extensive stakeholder engagement and alignment, managing the product backlog, and guiding the team through the Product Increment process.Our team’s biggest success has been without a doubt Vodacom’s Just 4 You offering. This has been a key driver of revenue growth for Vodacom in recent years. It utilizes advanced machine learning and Big Data technologies to enable a personalized value proposition to be presented to customers through targeted mobile product offers. Annually it contributes over 1 Billion ZAR to Vodacom’s bottom line. Our team’s efforts have resulted in higher return on IT spend, less churn as well as better customer engagement and NPS scores.

I was deployed in a technical role as an Analyst consulting for the MTN Middle East & Africa Group BI project. My area of expertise is the Mobile Money product, which is an essential Fin-tech tool used by millions of subscribers in developing countries to replace traditional banking services. My responsibilities in the role included analysing source data, preparing technical documentation, testing, and conducting knowledge sharing and training sessions.

IBQ is a mid-size private bank with annual revenues exceeding USD 250 Million. This was initially a "greenfield" Business Intelligence site, with a relatively immature reporting environment. I have tried to encourage the use of technology to drive the strategic direction of the bank, by leveraging the power of Business Intelligence, Analytics, and Mobile technologies.My responsibilities included:- Team leadership, mentoring trainees, coaching and motivating others - Development of Business Intelligence content in IBM Cognos. Key projects have been: * Management reporting used by Finance, that provides real-time, actionable data and influences decision-making * Qatar Central Bank regulatory reporting, including Basel III Capital Adequacy. This was delivered on time and within budget, and resulted in significant time and cost savings. Previous manual reporting took 1 full week to compile, but with BI now takes 15 mins. The system is fully automated and requires minimal IT intervention- Project management, including managing user expectations, resources, deadlines, and project quality- Business Analysis and Data Source identification- Establishment of best practices, standards and templates- Conducting user training sessions

For my first role I spent 4 years contracting for various projects at Vodacom supporting 500+ BI users. Key responsibilities included:- Assistance in Requirements Analysis and Project Planning- Advising stakeholders on best-fit Business Intelligence solution- Data Analysis and Metadata Modelling (incl.
