Field Services Engineer
Current1. On-Site Support: I'm dispatched to customer sites or remote locations to provide technical assistance and support. This may involve installing, configuring, and calibrating equipment, or troubleshooting and repairing machinery.2. Maintenance: I perform routine maintenance tasks, which can include equipment inspections, cleaning, lubrication, and replacement of worn or damaged components. Preventative maintenance is crucial to ensure the longevity and reliability of the equipment.3. Troubleshooting and Repairs: I also diagnose and resolve technical issues or malfunctions. This involves a deep understanding of the equipment, as well as the ability to use diagnostic tools and software to identify problems and execute repairs efficiently.4. Customer Interaction: I work closely with customers to understand their needs, answer questions, and provide guidance on equipment operation and maintenance. They may also provide training to users on how to operate the equipment properly.5. Documentation: I'm are responsible for maintaining detailed records of service visits, equipment maintenance, and repair work. Accurate documentation is essential for tracking the equipment's history and for compliance purposes.6. Parts and Inventory Management: I'm often carry a stock of spare parts and tools in their service vehicles to ensure they can complete repairs promptly. They must manage and restock their inventory as needed.7. Adherence to Safety Regulations: Safety is a paramount concern in this role. I also follow all safety protocols and guidelines to protect themselves and others while working with potentially hazardous equipment or in potentially risky environments.8. Remote Support: In some cases, I also provide remote technical support, guiding customers or other technicians through troubleshooting and maintenance procedures via phone, video calls, or remote desktop access.
