REU Site: Interdisciplinary Program in High Performance Computing ( https://hpcreu.umbc.edu/summer2016/projects/team1/ ) Faculty Mentor: Dr. Kofi P. AdragniProject Description: Using a dimension reduction methodology called Minimum Average Deviance Estimation (MADE) to reduce the dimensionality of the climate data. A parallel implementation of MADE and its prediction methods were carried out. A performance study was performed along with the application of the best prediction method to the climate data.

Faculty: Dr. Roland Winston Involved helping the solar lab with research and tests; analyzed the collected data; used MATLAB to solve problems.
