June Simon is an applied researcher and social worker. She is interested in harnessing data to drive real-time improvements in systems, practices, and outcomes that impact young people and families. June currently serves as Senior Research Associate at Action Research, where she designs, leads, and implements mixed-methods evaluations of child welfare programs and services—generating insights from program and admin data, interviews, focus groups, and more. She has also led and supported teams in tracking court-monitored reforms to state child welfare systems through regular analysis and reporting of population-level administrative data sets.She previously contributed to research projects in academic, non-profit, and philanthropic settings, addressing issues of health, policy, and practice. Her work has been featured in the peer-reviewed journals Child Abuse and Neglect, Children and Youth Services Review, Child Welfare, Journal of Public Child Welfare, and Families in Society, and the book collections Preventing Child Abuse (Nova Science) and Handbook of Interpersonal Violence and Abuse across the Lifespan (Springer Nature).
