Overview: We were selected randomly and formed a group of 9 people that we named Samothrace Consultant group. We were assigned to a local successful Brewery company located in the Black Country. The owners believed the systems and operations they had in place are failing due to not adapting to continuous growth. Using the approach of the consulting cycle we was able to carry out detailed plans, assessments, and changes and formulate action plans. We were assigned to a local successful Brewery company located in the Black Country. The owners believed the systems and operations they had in place are failing due to not adapting to continuous growth. Using the approach of the consulting cycle we was able to carry out detailed plans, assessments, and changes and formulate action plans. It was during the end of my second year in my course BA Business Management where my lecturers Martin and Geoff introduced this Consultancy practice module and discussed what it is and how it is run. I found it really attractive only because they kept mentioning how competitive and the fact that there is a requirement for this module. I remember them saying that due to how intense and how much work is required for the module and the benefit of gaining an extra diploma, which is certified by the CMI institute. I have always been competitive throughout my whole life and so I was always up for the challenge and purposely went for this course just to prove to myself I can get into this. This course helped me on a professional level into how to help people improve their businesses and help identify and solve their problems. I have always helped people the best I could whether they are friends or family, but I live the moral that had been passed from my father “always help people the best you can, but never expect help back”. I am nowhere near perfect and but I have benefited a lot in this project/module as I have learned a lot about myself than anything else.This has built the foundation for my career as the experience and knowledge I have gained has encouraged me to do masters in Human Resources and Business in Aston University (2017) Attachments: Reflective Paper Review about my development Show less
