June Jin is a technology communications and marketing veteran, having held senior positions in some of the world’s best-known tech companies. She is currently Chief Marketing Officer of SenseTime, responsible for promoting, protecting and evolving the company’s brand worldwide. Since she joined in April 2017, June has helped SenseTime transform its brand from a start-up into a global scale-up, establishing itself as one of the world’s leading artificial intelligence companies.Before joining SenseTime, June managed Apple’s strategic retail partnerships and broadened the company’s online customer base in China. Prior to that, June was Vice President of Communications at Tesla, where she oversaw public relations, marketing and partnerships for its Chinese subsidiary. June was also previously Chief Marketing Officer of Alibaba’s AutoNavi, China’s leading map service provider. One of her most notable initiatives was incorporating celebrity Lin Chi-ling’s voice for the company’s flagship mobile navigation app, which significantly transformed both the user experience and overall brand reputation. June began her career with Microsoft in the U.S., where she held roles in business analysis and product management. Her most recent role at the firm was Director of Communications & Marketing at Microsoft Research Asia, where she promoted Microsoft’s premier research lab as a center for technological innovation and talent cultivation in the Asia Pacific region. June’s extensive experience has given her a unique insight, forward-looking vision, and global view in this fast-moving sector. She has won professional awards including “Outstanding CMO”, “Best PR Leader”, and “Most Innovative Marketer”. June holds a BA in English from Peking University and both an MA in Sociology and an MBA from the University of Chicago. In her spare time, she enjoys yoga, reading, and spending time with her family.
