I supported a project that focused on the motor abilities of patients who had undergone face transplants. I was responsible for motion capture data analysis using Cortex. I transcribed audio files, assigned motion markers, and cleaned and cut data based on predetermined criteria for processing.I am currently working on a project that studies the effects of ALS on communication particicipation. I use SPA, a matlab program, and PRAAT to analyze objective speech measures (such as pauses, F1/F2, vowel space area, speaking rate). Results are prepared for presentations and publications.

I completed clinical feeding evaluations and therapy sessions on the inpatient and outpatient service. My inpatient role included consulting on all services such as a level IV NICU, cardiac ICU, medical and surgical ICU, and step down unit. My outpatient role included treating children with complex airway anomalies in the Center for Airway Disorders, a multidisciplinary group of speech-language pathologists and otolaryngologists. In addition, I performed videofluoroscopic swallow studies for patients across the lifespan.

I participated in a project to evaluate the effectiveness of slightly thick liquids in infants with dysphagia based on the IDDSI framework. I worked independetly and collaboratively with other speech-language pathologists to gather data.

I was responsible for administering and scoring standardized measures (CELF-5, CTOPP-2, DIBELS, KBIT-2, PPVT-5, RAN, TOWRE-2, WASI-2, WISC-4, WRMT-3) as well as study-specific vocabulary measures part of 2 research projects: 1) Audiobook Learning Initiative (ALI) project that studies the influence of children's access to audiobooks on their language development; 2)Researching the Attributes of Reading Resoponse (READER) study that examines the cognitive and neural profiles of developing readers in elementary school who may or may not have dyslexia.

I helped to develop and implement a breastfeeding support group for postpartum mothers. I worked on a seperate project to collect data regarding non-nutritive suck patterns of babies before and after a frenotomy.
