As a senior researcher focusing on computational bilogy and novel bioinformatics platform design, software development & visualization by using advanced mathematic/predictive/quantitative modeling approach in the area of life science, my career interests lie at i) deciphering the imbedded fundamental causality between human gut microbiome dysbiosis and metabolic disorder related diseases; ii) desired integration of machine learning directed statistical methodology aided to tackle multi-omics data driven analysis, which facilitated phenotype stratification and cluster of clinical study for identifying/testing/validating next generation of pre/probiotics candidates; iii) disentangling the intrinsic microbial-microbial interactions, and more importantly, extrinsic multi-dimension complexity encompassing in vivo host-diet-gut microbiota-drug interactions, targeting the development of advanced microbiota-directed drug-free therapeutics strategy for garnering human health benefits, and custormerized predictive software for personalized nutrition strategy to combat non-communicable diseases.Besides the characters of creative and logistic thinking that most scientific researchers should have, my strong adaptive capacity and quick learning ability can be well documented by the smooth transition during the multi-disciplinary research experience, from information engineering as undergraduate major, to current biological/life science related data analysis and modeling development, based on the solid foundation on mathematics and programming tools. Actually, I consider this experience as the most precious treasure for my future career path, since it endows me fearless courage and confidence to overcome the unknown challenges. This also makes me more persistent on my life target: “Nothing in this work is to be feared, only understood” quoted from my idol Marie Curie.Balancing between work and life is always important to everyone. Being a person with passion for life, I enjoy traveling, talking, cooking and playing in spare times with my families, also feel inner peace when I do yoga, reading and sometimes spending time alone to explore more about true me. There are certainly huge space for me to promote, yet more interesting things to exploit. And I am sincerely grateful for what I am doing and what I can do in future.
