Currently a senior at Seoul International School, I am interested in studying quantum physics, materials science and engineering, and robotics, as it is necessary to adapt to the ever-evolving world through the expeditious development of technology. As the president of the community service club B-Able of the Youth of Administration in Gangnam Province, I am driven by the goal of creating a better environment for the blind through technology. By creating a social network of 7 different community service clubs and hosting booths, I have fostered 6,000+ participants over 4 years in disability awareness campaign festivals and recorded 6 audiobooks for blind children who want opportunities to educate themselves. To chase my passion for materials science and engineering, I participated in the Inspirit-AI summer program and mentorship program and published two research papers about machine learning, continuing the idea in the Korea Science & Engineering Fair(KSEF) national competition. Additionally, to further research the materialistic properties of graphene, I did a research on “Determining the Chemical Properties of Graphene through Raman Spectroscopy and Electrical Transport experiments on Single to Multi-layered Graphenes” at National University of Singapore (supervised by Prof. Seok-Kyun Son), with further experience in robotics by joining the VEX robotics school team. Discovering my interest in not only science but also in music, I joined the school band as an enthusiastic percussion and piano player devoted to chasing my passion for music. As the co-president of the Blue Note Jazz Club, I have performed in 15+ school festivals, additionally posting 10+ piano tutorial videos on my YouTube channel, along with participating in the Korean-American Interscholastic Activities Conference(KAIAC) and the National Honors Festival(NHF). Throughout my academic career, I found an eager determination to not only continue pursuing intellectual development in the areas of science and engineering but also connect myself with my community to create a better environment for both myself and the people around me. As a person who hates failing, I always try to create the best possible result out of any situation, always having a positive mindset towards any obstacles thrown at me. The more I learn, the more I realize the limitless possibilities to continue academic growth, ultimately building a motivation inside of me to find new passions and sustain a continuous drive to obtain knowledge.
