Supported Japanese imaging industry, such as Olympus and Casio to adapt the standard by their products. Founded DPS (Digital Photo Solution) forum with Canon, Epson and Sony. Worked as a HP primary representative at the forum to develop a standard printing protocol for digital cameras. It was approved by CIPA (Camera Imaging Product Association) as a standard called PictBridge. Almost all of digital cameras in the world wide market adopt the standard.

Led a collaboration research with NTT DoCoMo for video distribution over 4G mobile networks. Proposed applying SIP (Session Initiation Protocol) to control an optimum video server selection. The idea was a base of IMS system that HP Lab was developing.Worked as a HP representative at JCIA (Japan Camera Industry Association). Worked with HP color experts and made the standard agreement aligned with HP objective. This strengthened the presence of HP at Japanese digital imaging industry.Worked as a manager of Imaging Infrastructure project. Evangelized HP JetSend standard printing protocol at Japanese industries including digital photography and consumer electric. Worked at Bellcore within Fujitsu and Bellcore researcher exchange program as a member of INA (Information Networking Architecture) project. The objective of the project is to define service and operation architecture for the future multimedia networks. Defined a signalling protocol and specifications of call processing programs for multimedia services including video on demand and video conferencing [1][2].Worked on NYNEX, Bellcore and Fujitsu joint project for Video on Demand using INA architecture.

Worked on ATM switching software distributed architecture with a Bellcore visiting researcher.Worked on NTT's public ATM switch development designing a call processing software and traffic management of ATM switching fabric.Researched by hypertext technology on software specification documents and knowledge management. Developed automatic verification tools for call processing programs of PBX[3].
