I came into contact with St Giles Trust upon my release from custody. It provides a unique way of working with people caught up in criminal lifestyle choices using specifically selected and trained ex-offenders. I was the first worker and as such I was responsible for the holistic work style, the ethos of the project and its unique identity, I was also responsible for SOS+ the prevention model which I developed in 2008 specifically targeting hardest to reach within school and community settings.As I result I managed a growing team, wrote bids many of which were successful, competed for funding, developed and cultivated funder and partner relationships. I was solely responsible for all of the session content, much of which is still used today as well as filming, editing and cultivating the online materials and presence through social media platforms.SOS+ was first developed using volunteers and these were from the SOS Team.I solely managed the project until 2017 when an SOS+ Co-coordinator was appointed.Under my leadership all targets were met, Sessions became fully quality assured and one of the goals of having the sessions fit within school curriculum's was achieved.Being the most qualified of the team I continue to effortlessly develop content for the sessions and am always ready to quality assure and even deliver sessions to the present date.
