CurrentCoded-wire tag project and Central Valley Tissue Archive• Collected, processed, retrieved, and archived coded-wire tags from adipose fin clipped Chinook Salmon collected in carcass surveys, and at state fish hatcheries• Applied proper techniques and safety procedures for processing salmon heads, coded-wire tag retrieval, decoding, and verification of coded-wire tag data• Collected Chinook Salmon and Steelhead scale samples at fish hatcheries, and processed scale samples collected at hatcheries and other salmonid survey programs• Collected Chinook Salmon and Steelhead tissue samples at Feather River Fish Hatchery, Mokelumne River Hatchery, Nimbus Hatchery, State Water Project, and Central Valley Project facilities• Assisted with data entry of coded-wire tag reads• Sexed and measured fork length of Chinook Salmon and Steelhead• Assisted with documenting distribution of head tags, maintaining inventories of recovered heads, managing cold storage of recovered heads, and arranging for rendering of processed heads• Photographed Steelhead Trout and Chinook Salmon scales• Aged Steelhead Trout scales• Maintained the laboratory and its equipment• Participated in training and developed technical and leadership skills• Performed other office and laboratory duties, such as cleaning and organizing
