My name is Junjie Zhou, and I graduated with honors from the University of Melbourne in July 2023 with a Master of Education (TESOL).My professional experience includes three years as an IELTS teaching assistant and English teacher in China and almost two years as a Mandarin teacher in Melbourne. The attached resume will highlight my professional achievements and demonstrate my dedication to language education. As a versatile educator, I have had the opportunity to instruct a wide variety of students from diverse backgrounds and all walks of life. Therefore, I am a caring teacher who is able to focus on students' unique needs, differentiate instruction, provide individual and small group support, integrate multicultural units of instruction, and offer positive encouragement and reinforcement to keep students focused and motivated.In China, I worked as an IELTS teaching assistant, not only helping teachers prepare lessons and correct homework but also practising speaking with students and teaching them how to improve English. Furthermore, teaching English to junior high school students who were preparing for the senior high school entrance examination in China provided me with high-school English teaching experience.While studying for my Master's Degree in TESOL at the University of Melbourne, I worked part-time as a Mandarin teacher at the New Chinese Language and Culture School in Melbourne. As an elementary school Mandarin teacher, I was required to develop my students' interest in learning Mandarin and engage in their early preparation for VTE. This was a valuable teaching experience for me in Australia. From this experience, I gained a lot of valuable insights and knowledge to succeed as a language teacher.
