My Tour of Duty of 3 years with Bunny Inc. was coming to an end and I was faced with a critical choice: leave the company to start my own company or sign a new Tour of Duty to spearhead new challenges with Bunny Inc.After speaking with Alex, we decided that Bunny Fulfillment (originally Bunny Inc.) was ready for new leadership and a new Head of Product. I was excited about this promotion because it would give me the opportunity to lead a team of over 30 people and focus my time and energy on the next phase of my career: product. As the Chief of Bunny Fulfillment, I lead VoiceBunny, ArticleBunny, LogoBunny, TranslationBunny, and all future fulfillment products that we launch. As the Head of Product of Bunny Fulfillment, I lead the evolution of our product and technology so that we accomplish our mission: to make work fulfilling.

Jan 2016 - Feb 2017

Head Of Growth

San Francisco Bay Area, California, Us

In the Spring of 2013, I decided it was time to build my own technology company. I met with several friends who were software engineers and designers to build my dream team. It was during this time that I was introduced to Alex, the CEO of Bunny Inc.I was intrigued and quite hesitant. I hadn't worked for a company in over 7 years, so I was worried that joining a company meant losing my autonomy. At the same time, I admired the mission of Bunny Inc. and respected the accomplishments that Alex had achieved. I set aside my pride and joined the team. Thus far, I'm extremely happy to have made the decision. The team is intelligent, driven, and capable of surpassing any obstacle. Our vision is bold, and if we execute correctly, we'll make a positive impact on the lives of hundreds of thousands of professionals across the world. The product and technology experience that I have gained here has been the most valuable.Bunny Inc.: http://bunnyinc.com/VoiceBunny: http://voicebunny.com/ArticleBunny: http://articlebunny.com/Voice123: http://voice123.com/

After RewardMe, the founding team and I decided to find our own paths. Stephen (CTO) sold everything and traveled to Thailand where he surfed for 6 months. After returning to CA, he joined Extrabux as a Senior Developer. The company was acquired by Ebates and later acquired by Rakuten.Yu-kai (CEO) played video games for 6 months until it was time for him to get back into the game. He is now a globally recognized gamification pioneer and author of Actionable Gamification.I decided to take a lifestyle design approach and built a series of products meant to increase revenue while decreasing my hours worked. The results were a drop shipping business, a travel affiliate site, an e-commerce store, and a web development company.- http://www.howtogotonorthkorea.com/- http://www.tourwoo.com/- http://lionstepmedia.com/

Founder

Mountain View, Ca, Us

In 2010, Yu-kai, Stephen, and I raised $1M in angel funding to build RewardMe, a loyalty platform for restaurants and retailers. At the time, group-buying sites like Groupon were the rage, and we saw the brutal negative impact that it was causing small businesses in a local community. Groupon would send them tons of customers, but this surge would ultimately have a negative impact because the small businesses lost money on the transactions and did not gain customers with a high LTV. To solve this pain, we created RewardMe, which meant to focus on the loyalty aspect. Through our hard work and determination, we built a product, acquired customers, and generated revenue. We were named one of the top 10 most innovative companies by Mashable and were able to secure multi-unit deals with franchises across the nation.Unfortunately, for many reasons, RewardMe eventually died. Though we weren't able to achieve big success, I fully appreciate the learning experience and thank Yu-kai and Stephen for standing by me.
