Under his leadership, BCEA achieved remarkable growth. Junlong orchestrated three online cultural exchange summits, engaging 200 students from 15 countries, and hosted 24 distinguished scholars and practitioners. The academy recruited over 200 participants, reaching 5,000+ students, and established partnerships with 12 non-profit organizations in the United States and China.Simultaneously, Junlong garnered substantial experience through internships with prominent non-profit organizations specializing in public diplomacy and U.S.-China relations, such as the USHCA and Learning Life. He now leads a team of seven college students from the U.S. and China as the Project Director of Global Intelligence, focusing on developing a curriculum that fosters cultural awareness and global intelligence under the Mediator Foundation, founded by Mark Gerzon.In his free time, Junlong enjoys jogging, baking, or playing with his cat at home.

    In 2021, I and other USC spring admit students founded the Bridge Cultural Exchange Academy, which is the first student-run public diplomacy organization at USC. We envision a world where every student, regardless of background, has the opportunity and platform to engage in diplomacy across borders. Our mission is to advance student diplomacy, through accessible and affordable cultural exchange summits and programs. We are immensely fortunate to have received exceptional guidance and mentorship from our advisors, Dr. Nick Cull and Kamy Akhavan. --------------------------------------------1. Conceptualized and executed 3 online cultural exchange summits, engaging 150 students from 15 countries to disrupt cultural stereotypes and cultivate skills in cross-cultural interaction, global citizenship, and adaptability within 2021-20232. Conducted a comparative analysis of pre-and post-event survey data to assess program effectiveness, leading to strategic adjustments and a significant boost in student satisfaction from 7.5/10 to 8.9/10 for the 3rd Cultural Exchange Summit 3. Secured 15 prominent speakers from various sectors, including public diplomacy pioneer Nicholas Cull and UK Speaker of the House of Commons Lindsey Hoyle, enhancing student exposure to global diplomacy4. Forged partnerships with 20 public diplomacy and educational entities, co-hosting events to empower student diplomats5. Secured Funding for 2 operation years from corporate and NPO sponsors, school fund, and scholarships.6. Identified and mentored 3 exceptional students to establish local chapters, reaching to 10,000+ students.7. Led targeted online marketing campaigns for Summits, engaging over 3,000 students from 15+ countries.
