Been part of the Starbucks corporation since the age of 17, and currently am still with the company as a Barista Trainer. My role is training any new baristas who have joined the team. I am to ensure that our store's values and beliefs are upheld with the new team member, and to show the standard way of our approaches of ensuring that our store's quality is being upheld. Working at Starbucks comes with customer service which also introduces meeting new people constantly every day of the week. This had paved a way for networking opportunities for me and getting more used to the idea of naturally discussing ideas and critical thoughts with customers at work. Bringing these approaches with leaders and the team of making new suggestions and my life at college.

Was selected to represented San Diego's GLSEN chapter to undergo a training of trainers. We went through a program taught by the GLSEN's education manger Becca Mui. Methods used during this training was networking with individuals from different areas of the country and being able to gather information to be put towards our project to present to the whole group. We then practiced team-building exercises with such learning disciplines on how to approach certain objectives and audiences.

We conducted ways for youth individuals to ensure sufficient representations within their own communities. Highlighting ways of how they are able to be a leader themselves and from this program the takeaway approaches and methods that they can bring to their communities on making a difference.
