Junming Zhang was born in Zhejiang, China, in 1975. He received the M.S. degree and Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from Zhejiang University, Hangzhou, China, in 2000 and 2004 respectively. In 2004, he becomes a faculty of College of Electrical Engineering, Zhejiang University as a lecture. He was promoted as a full professor of the College of Electrical Engineering in Zhejiang University in 2013. In 2010 to 2011, he was a visiting scholar in Michigan State University.His research interests include power management, power electronics system integrations, advanced high efficiency power conversion technology and renewable energy its application. He has published more than 120 journal and conference papers. Also, he is the holder of 19 China patents, 21 US patents and 1 publication. He received the second level Science and Technology Development Awards from the China Education Commission in 2003. As the key member, he also received two first-level awards from Zhejiang Province Government in 2012 and 2013 respectively. In 2015, he received the outstanding young scholar award from China Power Supply Society for his outstanding research achievements in power electronics and power supply fields. He is the secretary of IEEE Zhejiang Sub-section, the committee member of China power electronics society, member of IEEE Industrial Electronics Society Technical Committee on Renewable Energy Systems. He servers as topic Chair of IEEE International Future Energy Challenge (IFEC) in 2013, general Co-Chair of IFEC’2015. He also serves as reviewer of many IEEE transactions and conferences, associate editor of IEEE Transactions on Industry Applications.
