Assisted in the data collection and analysis of rental trends for their biannual publication on the cost of accommodation in 450 cities globally.Directly supported research for the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office into their diplomat pay packages.

First port of call at the International Programs Office for all students wishing to engage in international work and study placements. I assist in the administration of all applications of prospective students as well as aiding them through the application process. I act as an Ambassador for the University for all incoming students, and actively promote international mobility on campus. My particular project of focus for the year is researching how to better support and encourage students with complex needs to apply.

I was initially hired as a Wellcome EDI Research Assistant Intern to Professor Tanja Bastia and Dr Matthew Walsham supporting their research into gender, skills, disability and migration within the Global South, and have since moved to a part-time research assistant role during term time. I supported their conference on Migration and Inequalities in the Global South in June 2022 by writing up the notes of all speakers and writing a blog linked below. My main project was conducting a literature review on gender and skilled migration in the Global South. This involved gathering relevant articles, reading and assessing them, and presenting my findings. I am currently writing interview transcripts for their qualitative research into the key stakeholders in global migration governance.

I supported the qualitative research of Dr Samuel Brazys at the School of Politics and International Relations looking at the Chinese Communist Party's foreign aid response to the COVID-19 pandemic. I read thousands of articles by Chinese media outlets, extracted the relevant information and inputted the findings into Excel.
