Junru has extensive research experience on the everyday spaces and practices of humanitarianism, with particular identity-based focuses on gender, race, sexuality and class status.With expertise in humanitarian operations management, peacekeeping-intelligence and community development, Junru has a demonstrated history working in the humanitarian, development and government industries.Junru is proficient in four languages, he has worked within various humanitarian and development programs in Tajikistan, Mongolia, Myanmar and Ethiopia. Junru is the recipient of the Québec Research Fund for his research in the everyday challenges of humanitarian field work. Junru completed his M.A. at McGill University in Political Science with a concentration in Development Studies, and is currently a doctoral candidate at the University of Ottawa's School of Political Studies.
