“Entrepreneurship is essentially solving problems.” This was the first thing I was taught by my professor in year-one of University. Since then, my orientation is all about solving problems. To put that into perspective, following a quick week of training at Allied Technical Solutions (ATS), I understood that I needed to always be in a mindset to discovery, analyze and resolve problems efficiently. This mindset put me on the forefront to develop the ability to equip any skill or knowledge that I may or may not have heard quickly. As a reporting analyst in an I.T. company in the construction, I self-taught SQL, GitLab CI/CD, and various R package and Python libraries to automate my entire working process. The team understood I had the capacity for much more, so I was brought into an advanced data migration project which required me to extract data from a relationship database, restructure it into JSON documents and then load it into NoSQL. With that I continued to self-learn as I required knowledge in MongoDB to accurately develop the entire process for this project. In less than three weeks, I wrote the scripts and got the data ready for testing in the new environment. Learning in practice and in flight is one of my unique skills, and if I am given the opportunity to practice, I can learn things quickly. I am passionate for learning and would love to leverage my knowledge and experience with data and numbers to provide use to a company that is in Machine Learning and/or Artificial Intelligence. As an aside, I play poker as a hobby, and in this game the math behind it has impacted the way I understand and interpret everything in the world. Basically, most of the results in life are uncertain with an expectation, the right strategy sometimes may cause a catastrophic result in the end. However, that is the best we can do as humans, to prepare for the best expectation in the future based on the information we have now.
