I started my research in aerospace when I was learning at an international school in Shanghai, China, mainly in the safety aspects of aviation.In August 2022, I moved to Urbana-Champaign in Illinois, US for further studies at University of Illinois Urbana Champaign (UIUC). I am currently an undergraduate student at the university majoring in Aerospace Engineering.Other than being a sophomore, I am the membership director of a student organization named Student Aircraft Builders, managing student membership, writing newsletters, and leading outreach events such as FBO visits. I am also the Social Chair of Institute of Transportation Engineers, mainly planning social events for the organization. I am also part of Design Build Fly, an RC aircraft design competition, focusing on flight tests of the competition aircraft.For two months in Summer 2023, I interned with Westwell, a company focusing on autonomous driving technology. I worked with the Strategy Development department, analyzing current market, technology development trend, and competitors' movements. I also computed break-even estimation for customers, helping them better understand the long-term development of the project through visualization of the data. I also assisted in creating several reports for the company, helping on various topics from ESG to product introduction, utilizing my Photoshop and PowerPoint skills.Other than Aerospace Engineering, I am also interested in media. I have been using Adobe Photoshop for 6 years and Adobe Premiere Pro for 1 year, with works covering photo editing, advertising, and video editing. I have also designed liveries for aircrafts using Photoshop and Illustrator, some of which I plan to bring to the real life.
