• Participate in designing customized IoT LoRa (low-power wide-area network) systems• Assist in building the IoT LoRa gateway/repeater firmware based on Raspberry Pi• Build the firmware for IoT LoRa end device with STM32 MCU and make modifications based on the requirement (e.g., Emergency button with NFC/RAIN RFID, cattle tracking), use protocols if needed (SPI, UART, I2C, etc.)• Build the firmware for battery discharge testing with STM32 nucleo board, use Doxygen to generate documentation• Debug and test with hardware equipment (oscilloscope, multimeter, spectrum analyzer, USB to serial adapter, etc.), review schematic and PCB during the test• Coordinate with the director in proposing process improvements to enhance system performance, reliability and scalability• Perform field testing, write down reports and suggest modifications based on results• Generate scripts in Python to parse test data for analysis• Assist in system setup on convention shows
