Facilitate the smooth transitioning of incoming students into the School of Arts and Sciences.Assist on average 100 students per semester in all aspects of academic and non-academic advising by helping students understand university policies, degree structures, and degree requirements.Develop and create best practice advising literature for faculty advisors and students for each program/major offered in the School of Arts & Sciences.Develop and create an internal online platform to house advising resources for other faculty advisors and their students.Liaise with Registrar to highlight and correct anomalies in students’ audits/progress reports with regards to grades, courses, transfer credits, etc.Develop a GPA calculator for the School of Arts & Sciences that assists students in calculating their semester and/or cumulative GPA.Liaise with faculty and other support departments including Psychological Services, Financial Aid, Educational Services, and other services, on- and off-campus to address students’ concerns.Advising and assisting students in applying for Government of Grenada scholarships, internal University scholarships, and support from other resources.Conduct pre- and post-midterm monitoring and intervention of students of concern who have D’s and F’s grades.Host advising workshops for Arts & Sciences faculty that address best practices in student advising techniques.Assist and orient faculty on a one-by-one basis to navigate new and existing technology for teaching and advising.
