During my 6-week internship at SnkeOS, a subsidiary of Brainlab, I contributed as a Software Developer, focusing on enhancing the company's metadata management for tumor segmentation analysis derived from DICOM databases. My primary responsibilities included:- Data Aggregation and Analysis: Developed robust algorithms to iterate through extensive metadata from DICOM databases, filtering applicable patients for tumor segmentation analysis.- Lesion Detection Automation: Utilized the Advanced Processing Module (APM) to accurately identify and count the number of lesions (tumors) in patient MRI scans, ensuring precise segmentation and analysis.- Database Management: Successfully updated and maintained the company's metadata database in MongoDB, incorporating the tumor count information for each patient slice set.- Quality Assurance: Designed and implemented comprehensive PyTests to validate the accuracy and functionality of the code, ensuring seamless integration and deployment within the company's system.This project successfully enriched SnkeOS's metadata database by adding detailed tumor count information, enhancing its utility for future machine learning applications and providing valuable insights for medical professionals. My experience here has honed my skills in database management, algorithm development, and quality assurance, preparing me for future challenges in software development and data analysis.

While collaborating with the E3 Initiative, I assisted in organising a startup accelerator for university students around Spain. My role consisted primarily of handling logistics and partnerships/sponsorships for the event.

Participated in Boston Consulting Group's Business@School initiative, focusing predominantly on Phase 3. After initial phases of analysing Pfizer's and IL Cielo's business models, we shifted to a practical application in Phase 3. My team and I developed an innovative concept: 3D printed biodegradable golf balls. We crafted a comprehensive business plan, modeled, and prototyped our product, culminating in a successful pitch to a panel of judges. Although the product never made it to market, this experience significantly refined my entrepreneurial skills and deepened my understanding of sustainable business practices.
