I'm an award-winning creative leader with 20+ years experience at the intersection of UX and emerging technologies. Experienced in 0-1 product innovation and big transformations from concept to launch across immersive environments, showrooms and data/AI and hardware. I build and lead high performing teams to do challenging, impactful work via a fusion of craft, experience, and perspective. My international background is in Computer Related Design, Interaction Design (Royal College of Art), and Visual Communications (UdK Berlin). I am passionate about bringing a holistic and deeply human perspective to complex and ambiguous challenges. In my most recent role as an Creative Director and member of the management board at ART+COM in Berlin, I led interdisciplinary teams of designers, researchers and engineers to design and launch immersive experiences and service innovations. I have realized a series of large scale mechatronic artworks built around a design system from concept to completion and subsequent operations that were transformative in the field of physical media; a novel hybrid communication platform mixing real-time spatial reconstruction and video conferencing, integrated immersive environments with seamless transition between personal devices, and spatial installations and brought patient centric computational media to Intensive Care Units. Additionally, as a co-lead of the design and research departments (a team of 30+ multidisciplinary designers and engineers), I was responsible for fostering and nurturing a creative design culture, hiring, and people development. Past clients included global brands such as: BMW, VW/Audi, Changi Group, Deutsche Bank, Deutsche Telekom. Across my career, my work has been recognized by IF Design Award, Red Dot Grand prix, Cannes Lions, ADC, D&AD, Designpreis der Bundesrepublic Deutschland, BAFTA and Ars Electronica.
