Part of a dynamic and proactive Policy and Government Affairs team representing all aspects of the UK’s advertising and marketing industry at Westminster, Holyrood, and Brussels. Lead on political engagement, strategy, and campaign planning.The AA represents the full breadth of the UK’s £36bn advertising and marketing industry. Our members span across advertisers, agencies, media owners, and tech companies. Our mission is to promote the role and rights of responsible advertising and its value to people, society, businesses and the economy.We are engaged on a wide range of issues including data and digital regulation, the future of creative education, talent, and skills, advertising regulation, trade and exports policy, Global Britain, the Online Advertising Programme, and sustainability.

I led on a wide range of political engagement and policy issues affecting venues and producers across the nations and regions of the UK. Key functions included:- Representing over 240 UK Theatre members (encompassing theatres, concert halls, dance companies, producers and arts centres throughout the UK) and c.230 SOLT members (London-based producers, theatre owners and managers, including all the major not-for-profit theatrical organisations in London and the theatres of London’s “West End") to elected politicians and officials at all levels of government- Supporting and advising the CEO, Head of UK Theatre, Boards, and senior leadership in their political engagement- Managing a diverse policy portfolio including skills development, education and training, public funding, cultural strategies, audience development, and tourism- Acting as Secretariat for the APPG for Theatre- Representing UK Theatre / SOLT on Government and industry groupsKey work included:- Writing and implementing the organisation's first public affairs strategy- Securing appearances in front of the DCMS and Welsh Affairs Select Committees- Leading on the organisation's CSR and Budget submissions- Leading the organisation's local elections engagement, including authoring our manifesto- Leading an inquiry into skills shortages in the sector on behalf of the APPG for Theatre

I led on our APP scams campaign and our work combatting price gouging of essential items during emergencies.

Which? is the largest consumer organisation in the UK with more than 1.3 million members and supporters. We operate as an independent, a-political, social enterprise working for all consumers.Worked on engagement with businesses and industry representatives in energy, rail, data, and aviation.

I worked as a member of the migration policy team in the Mediterranean Migration Unit. This involved working closely with other government departments on a fast-moving and politically visible policy area involving frequent media coverage and scrutiny. My work included being part of the negotiating team in Whitehall for the United Nations Global Compact for Migration; helping form and influence 'upstream' migration policy and programming; and reacting to ad-hoc migration issues in the Mediterranean and Europe.My day-to-day work involved working closely with teams from the Home Office and Department for International Development, writing briefings and speaking notes for ministers and senior officials, and leading on all internal and external communications for my team, including liaising with NGOs and academics.I also worked as part of the crisis management team responding to the collapse of Monarch Airlines, and had corporate responsibility as a 'Tech Ninja', working with FCO Directors to help them make the most of the department's rollout of new technology.

• Worked closely with the Marketing Intern to identify potential improvements in the Admissions Office strategy, and presented alternatives to key stakeholders (including the Head of Admissions);• Carried out independent research, and met and worked closely with staff from both the Admissions and Communications offices;• Worked largely independently, with bi-weekly update meetings with line manager; followed strict self-imposed deadlines;• Designed and presented implementation strategies for new Open Day Tours, Daily Tours, a Pre-Admission Ambassador Network, and a streamlined Communication System with Offer Holders (example documents available upon request). Some of these have since been implemented; Also helped create a new social media policy;• Carried out during term time, alongside a part-time job, third year academic commitments, and extra-curricular activities.
