Primarily developed methods for novel manufacturing of high thermal conductivity parts from composite materials.Projects Included: Developing laser methods to cut metal-ceramic composite material to a tight-tolerance, low Ra surface finish, and low taper. This opened markets for heatspreaders that needed thermal conductivity higher than commercially available with tuneable thermal expansion coefficient characteristics. Some markets for these materials are high-powered laser diodes, power amplifiers, and computer processors.Building a composite material plating line. I was Project Manager for an in-house build of a gold-over-nickel plating line for metal-ceramic composite materials, which included requirements gathering, system design, oversight & planning for the plumbing & drainage system, HVAC & fume extraction system, factory layout & documentation, lighting design, HVAC vendor & Electrician coordination, and full design and first-hand build of all electronics and industrial control systems. Project was completed in 6 months from concept to first article, during April - October of 2020.Programming and Maintenance of a legacy Agiecut Classic II Electro-Discharge Machine without any outside aid or consult.Development of metrology automation, including efficiency design, fixture design & 3d printing and scripting via Microsoft VBScript on a WinXP machine. The process was verified using a Gage R&R process.
