As a Vehicle Packaging Manager at Verne, I lead a team responsible for the overall vehicle package, including occupant layout, system integration, and compliance with legal requirements. We identify packaging issues, resolve cross-system conflicts, and propose solutions using a customer-first approach and engineering principles. Our team sets and delivers key engineering targets and gateways that define the vehicle’s status, ensuring alignment across all departments and enabling Design progression.I built the team from the ground up, recruiting world-class talent, and within months, delivered our first engineering gateway, providing a comprehensive vehicle status snapshot for clear engineering targets and hardpoints.I’ve led initiatives to improve efficiency and quality, such as semi-automating document generation, saving around 100-150 hours per gateway. I also implemented methodologies to enhance output quality, ensuring consistency across engineering teams.A key part of my role is managing the Surface Input Cutoff (SIC) gateway, delivering complete data packages—engineering hardpoints, targets, and legal requirements—to the Design team, allowing them to mature and progress vehicle concepts. We coordinate inputs from engineering teams and suppliers, summarizing critical data and releasing system CAD with supporting documents.Utilizing CAD tools like NX, and leveraging my team's diverse skill sets, I focus on maximizing team effectiveness and ensuring precise delivery of high-quality results. Seat Structures Lead Engineer - Managed the Concept Seat Structures (x2) through Design, Engineering, Testing Validation and Integration. Lead supplier reviews, Hard/Soft trim and electronics Integration. Developed the systems for interaction with the control systems and work closely with the comfort team to ensure this will be the best 2nd row seats in any JLR product, past and present.

Conceptualised, Engineered, Lead and Developed the 2nd and 3rd row seat structures for the all new large SUV platform for JLR. Worked closely with some great teams to ensure the vehicle and all other boundary systems where aligned ready for the implementation of the new seats.Delivered new functionalities that will be first to market when launched. Role consisted working with all Areas of Body engineering, understanding their systems and supporting to ensure costs, resource and technical concerns were captured, and reported at senior level meetings. As well as ensuring any technical issues were identified and resolved prior to Core Engineering on boarding.
