• Taking customer orders and alleviating any customer concerns or issues• Working with the ports of Tacoma and Seattle and various carriers to assure all goods are exported on time• Negotiating with carriers • Coordinating with all departments to make sure the production process is running smoothly and efficiently• Strategically manage Wesco’s extensive hay inventory to make sure there is enough material for all customer orders• Showing customers around facility and different farms around the Columbia Basin and Northern Idaho• Assisting in quality control to limit and get rid of non-exportable hay

• Understand the supply chain of a hay company from transportation, compression, fumigation, loading, and shipment • Work with and understand different types of hay, ranging from Super Premium Dairy all the way to Sedan and Alfalfa • Prepare hay for shipping, maintain compressor, run equipment such as a Caterpillar Big Squeeze, Little Squeeze, Fork Lift, International Semi-Truck• One of two fumigators employed• Understand application and interaction between different fumigants and how they affect the quality of the hay• Working together on a five man crew to complete daily shipping and hay preparation tasks as well as fixing any mechanical issues that arise • Handling special orders to meet customer demand• Showing customers around the compression barns and demonstrating all the activities that go into making the final product
