As an ICT specialist (In Car Technology) my role was to advise and fit in car entertainment to all makes of vehicle. I also had the responsibility to train, test and pass other Halfords staff on how to fit electrical and audio / navigation solutions in to modern cars with complex wiring systems. When working in store my knowledge was used to advise customers on modern technology for connectivity, navigation, sound and much more. I have over 25 years Car modification experience and used my own personal knowledge to help others within Halfords including B2B at head office. As a specialist I ran the audio / performance department where I worked with an enthusiastic team of full and part time staff to achieve maximum sales including company targets, ATV, footfall, finance and general store tasks including an outstanding customer service record.

As a Performance improvement facilitator I had been head hunted from my role within manufacturing company to join Punch UK to improve production output from two transfer lines producing metal pressings for companies such as Sony. My role was to improve the current output of the production lines from low 30% to 75% + to achieve maximum output. This was achieved over a 6 month period by introducing quicker change over times of tools and robotics, automated scrap removal from die press tools and to include modification to the current robotic systems to allow the transfer of spray oiled sheet metal / aluminum across a higher speed robotic transfer system. After one year of successfully achieving this I moved on to a new state of the art system producing roll form bands. Roll form bands were used to hold the older type CRT television screens in place and in effect to stop the screen expanding etc. In this department I set out the instructions on how to set each type of roll form band, the process for quality checks and tolerances that were specified by the customer to the finished band ready for welding and dispatch. My aim was to ensure that the team that worked within this department were fully supportive and I ensured that from the raw material to the finished component was all done within the team I trained, mentored and developed.
