I was born in London, England; receiving my Honors Degree in Business Law from London Guildhall University. I worked as a Solicitor (in England) for over six years; concentrating on property litigation, employment law and civil litigation. I was admitted to the Maine Bar in 2002 and to the U.S. District Court for the District of Maine in 2003. My work at Hale & Hamlin includes property litigation, family law, real estate transactions, business law, landlord and tenant issues, civil litigation, all issues concerning construction contracts and employment law. I am member of the Maine State Bar and the John Waldo Ballou American Inns of Court. I have served on the Boards of various local non profit corporations; currently serving on the board of directors for the Bay School in Blue Hill and as clerk of the Blue Hill Country Club.I have represented clients in a wide range of court proceedings (including Maine District Courts, Maine Superior Courts, the Maine Supreme Court and Federal District Court); as well as in proceedings with various Tribunals (including the Maine Human Rights Commission and the Maine Board of Environmental Protection) and at various municipal meetings. I have represented clients at numerous mediation hearings, including: compulsory mediations (via the litigation process); voluntary mediations; and, mediations pursuant to the Maine Residential Real Estate Mediation Program. I have represented clients in four appeal cases at the Maine Supreme Court. In 2005, Justin received an award from the Maine State Bar Association for providing the highest cumulative number of pro bono hours on cases closed during 2004 in Hancock County.
