• Proactively and independently support sales of Unified Communications• Advise customers concerning Unified Communications • Design of Unified Communications infrastructure • Identify and translate recent developments in the market to (new) solutions• Provide technical excellence and solution expertise on qualified opportunities related to Unified Communications offerings, both product and services.• Engage with customer and partake in the scope of work determination, product pricing and RFP/RFI responses.• Assume responsibility for technical pre-sales solution design and related justifications within the context of defined and client-approved requirements and constraints.• Work with Account Teams on client proposals and strategic account planning; assist in the decision to pursue or reject a deal.• Knowledgeable about vendor programs by applying the vendor's products business/technology positioning.• Serves as the escalation point for presales and serve as a bridge between customer, delivery resources and project management.• Work together with Sales and Project Management; define the roadmap and milestones for each project, and the required involvement of delivery teams.• Participate in the delivery of consultative services such as Surveyors, IT consulting, engagement management, and applicable components of key delivery engagements.• Take responsibility as the technical representative of Dimension Data within strategic accounts to develop strong client relationships and identify opportunities for Dimension Data.• Assures technical competency and completeness of material presented to prospects.• Assists management teams in assessment of additional technical resources.• Communicates with other members of the pre-sales/sales organization to develop training initiatives that will enhance the effectiveness of the sales
