As the Senior Manager of Security I Implement, administer and manage the Centers security and safety program. Lead and manage specific security and safety programs to reduce losses and protect company assets including persons, physical, and information. Over sees the Centers guard force, security systems, security & safety programs and conducts investigations when necessary. Conducts assessments, reviews and inspections to ensure adherence to the Centers polices and standards, regulatory compliance and reduce losses. Interact regularly with diverse constituencies including academicians, administrative staff, donors, vendors, general public, NYPD, FDNY and other agencies. I also have a certificate of fitness as a Fire Safety Director and Emergency Action Plan Director.• Ensures that security, fire & life safety and safety programs are implemented, assigned to guard staff and building staff according to city policies, directives and in compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Manages security and safety incident reporting and record-keeping requirements according to the Centers policies. Maintains relationships with contract security guard service providers.•Manages security systems function within the building, communicating regularly with vendor staff. Ensures that systems are inspected, tested and serviced according to manufactures standards. Provides for accurate administration and monitoring of systems as required for each device. Conducts physical security assessments for the site; evaluating general building construction, door hardware, life safety, locks/keys, security systems (alarm, card access systems, CCTV, intercom) and communicates findings and recommendations to Director of Building Operations. Maintains and supports relationships with local and regional security system integrators and service providers.
